Mortgage Fraud Continues to Decline in Georgia

Atlanta Regains Class 2 ISO Rating; Effects Will Be Felt in Insurance Premiums
ATLANTA - August 30, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- Mayor Kasim Reed announced today that the City has regained its Class 2 ISO rating. The rating, provided by Insurance Services Office, can affect the cost of homeowners’ insurance, with a lower rating meaning lower premiums. Insurance companies have 90 days to respond to the lowered rating, meaning that homeowners could begin to see changes in their insurance costs in December.

ATLANTA - June 25, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- CredAbility this week is kicking off the Georgia piece of a new national push to help hundreds of thousands of homeowners still struggling to avoid foreclosure. The U.S. Treasury Department recently awarded $9.5 million to nonprofit housing counseling organizations around the country. The largest amount in Georgia went to CredAbility, which will receive $473,000 to help homeowners try to qualify for a loan modification or other foreclosure prevention help as part of the Making Home Affordable program.
