Gloria Jean Hecking Named Women’s Council of Realtors Member of the Year
Dunwoody, GA – April 8, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Real estate professional Gloria Jean Hecking was presented with Member of the Year honors for the Atlanta chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors during its January luncheon at the Capitol City Grill in Buckhead.
Hecking, who just celebrated 25 years in real estate, all with Prudential Georgia Realty, is very involved in her real estate profession. A long-time member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, she served as Atlanta chapter president in 2000 and has volunteered with numerous activities. This is the second time Gloria Jean Hecking has been honored with this award.

She is also a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. With the Atlanta Board, Gloria Jean has also given back to her profession, again serving on committees and spending seven years as a director. The Atlanta Board, to thank her for this service, honored her with the Captain of Industry Award in 2001 and a Five Star Circle of Service Award in both 2000 and 2004.
“This came as quite a surprise, winning Member of the Year again,” said Hecking, who performed behind the scenes work with WCR in 2009, taking photos, putting these pictures on Facebook and keeping this page updated. “I can’t imagine being in real estate and not being involved with the Women’s Council, I love it!”
Also an accomplished Realtor, Gloria Jean earned the Crystal Phoenix Award in 2008, an honor bestowed upon Realtors for achieving member-ship 20 consecutive years in the Million Dollar Club of their local board affiliation. It serves as special recognition for consistent real estate sales performance. The gift of the Crystal Phoenix is earned by only a handful of Realtors with the approximately 8,000-member Atlanta Board each year. She has also worked to be up-to-date on the latest information in her industry, earning the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Prudential’s Fine Home Specialist designation and is a Leadership Training Graduate with the Atlanta Board.
