HHS ANNOUNCES OVER $3 BILLION IN FUNDING FOR ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Administration for Children and Families has announced over $3 billion in funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). LIHEAP aids low-income families and individuals with bill payments, energy crises, energy efficiency improvements, and energy-related home repairs.
DCA to co-sponsor Atlanta Affordable Housing Preservation Challenge
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is co-sponsoring a competition to foster creative solutions to today’s housing needs. Gov. Nathan Deal and members of the Emergency Operations Command today outlined Hurricane Matthew's impact on Georgia's coastal areas and the state's recovery response efforts.
