WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 13, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, U.S. Representative Rob Woodall (GA 07) issued the following statement regarding his support of H.R. 1732, the “Regulatory Integrity Protection Act.” Passing the House by a vote of 261-155, the bill would preserve state and local authority over matters of water supply and prevent unprecedented expansion of federal jurisdiction in this area.
“There is no one more invested in keeping our rivers, streams, and water supply clean than those of us right here at home,” said Rep. Woodall. “In recent years we’ve seen Washington’s influence grow larger, and all too often at the expense of our job-creators, farmers, and local governments. This legislation stands up for Georgia and is a step towards more effective and accountable government that protects our natural resources, economy, and our communities.”
Congressman Woodall represents the Seventh Congressional District of Georgia, which includes the majority of Gwinnett and Forsyth counties, and currently serves as Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process, as well as serving on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and Budget Committee.
