Outgoing Cobb Association of REALTORS® President Carol Moson Honored at 2011 Year-End Meeting

Marietta, GA – March 5, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — REALTOR® Carol Moson, who also served as the 2011 Cobb Association of REALTORS® president, was honored at the association’s year-end meeting. Moson was presented with an American flag that had been flown over the United States Capitol on October 29, 2011.

At the request of the Honorable Phil Gingrey, member of Congress, this flag was specifically flown for Carol Moson, to recognize her service as 2011 President of the Cobb Association of REALTORS®.
A Cobb resident, Moson is very active in her profession. A member of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR), she volunteers on numerous committees there, including the State and Local Legislative Committee; State RPAC (REALTOR® Political Action Committee) Trustee; and is the Regional Director for Region 1, overseeing six associations as a liaison for GAR members.

In response to her year as Cobb Association of REALTORS® president, Carol Moson said, “Our goal for the year was to re-engage members, re-sell the value of being a REALTOR® and to increase our membership. We accomplished all three and our membership increased by almost 200. We feel we have turned the corner. My biggest surprise was to find out how many agents thought they were REALTORS® when they really just hold a license and how many did not understand the value the ―REALTOR trademark holds. It’s a work in progress!”

Carol Moson has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2001 and has been honored as a past REALTOR® of the Year, received the President’s Award from the Cobb Association of REALTORS® as well as the Phoenix Award for high sales performance for 10 consecutive years. A big believer in continuing education in the real estate field, she teaches continuing education classes to other REALTORS® and is currently writing courses for brokers. In addition, she has earned several continuing education real estate designations, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certified (SFR), Broker Price Opinion Certified (BPO), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), the e-Pro and Green REALTOR® certifications, and the Employer Assisted Housing (EAH) designation.
