Department of Banking and Finance Enters into a Consent Order with Metro Home Mortgage Corporation and Roland Collymore
Atlanta, GA – July 8, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — On July 6, 2009, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) entered into a Consent Order with Metro Home Mortgage Corporation, License Number 20433, formerly located at 6075 Roswell Road, Suite 605, Atlanta, Georgia 30328, and its chief executive officer, Roland Collymore, to resolve allegations pertaining to violations of the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act and agency rules.
The terms of the Consent Order include the following:
- The revocation of Metro Home Mortgage Corporation’s mortgage broker’s license is effective as of July 6, 2009. Metro Home Mortgage Corporation can never apply to the Department for another license to be a mortgage broker or mortgage lender; and
- For a five-year period, Roland Collymore can only be affiliated with a mortgage broker or mortgage lender as an employee and is prohibited from applying for a mortgage broker’s or lender’s license. During this same time frame, Mr. Collymore may not serve as a branch manager or direct the affairs or act as a director, officer, partner, equitable owner, or any other equivalent role of a mortgage broker or mortgage lender.
