Washington, DC - October 19, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA/1) announced today that Economic Opportunity Authority (EOA) for Savannah-Chatham County is the recipient of two grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grants will be used to support services related to housing counseling to homebuyers, homeowners and low to moderate income renters.

September 11, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA/01) announced today that the City of Hinesville is the recipient of a community development block grant (CDBG) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Funding will be used to fund several projects within the city including the Azalea Streetscape Project.

Atlanta, GA - August 25, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — American Real Estate University and the nonprofit American Homebuyers Foundation are hosting the Second Annual Industry Day for Georgia real estate professionals. First held in 2008, the event drew more than 800 people. This year’s event, scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2009, from 9:30 to 4:30 p.m., is expected to draw 500 or more attendees. It will be held at the Holiday Inn in Decatur, Ga. and will offer REALTORS® the added bonus of six hours of continuing education credit.
