Prudential Georgia Realty is 48th in the Nation for Sales Volume

Atlanta, GA – May 27, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Prudential Georgia Realty, with its 23 offices and 1,200+ sales associates, continues to be one of the nation’s sales leaders. In the April issue of RISMedia’s Real Estate Magazine, Prudential Georgia Realty placed 48th in the nation for total sales volume. In 2009, Prudential Georgia Realty had more than $1.5 billion in gross sales and 6,800 transactions.

The 2010 Power Broker Report publishes the top 300 real estate firms in the United States. The list is compiled by total sales volume and closed transactions. It is the 22nd year this real estate trade publication has published this report and Prudential Georgia Realty has become a regular fixture on the list. The issue can be read in its entirety at the RISMedia site, www.rismedia.com.

“Of the 300 firms on this list just eight were located in Georgia and we were one of just two Georgia real estate companies over the billion dollar sales mark,” said Prudential Georgia Realty President and CEO Dan Forsman. “It matches the statistical data we’re getting from other sources, such as Trendgraphix, which indicated our firm ended 2009 and the first quarter of 2010 at the number one position for highest year-to-year gains in listings, sales volume, listing inventory, buyers and unit sales.”

Prudential Georgia Realty also recently posted a free report on its blog site which provides statistical data to support that the metro Atlanta real estate market is now past the bottom in terms of real estate sales values. The company has recently been in expansion mode as well, with two boutique real estate agencies coming aboard Prudential in April and a grand opening celebration in May for its new Atlanta location in Buckhead.
