Free Weekly Atlanta Foreclosure Bus Tour Debuts in Atlanta September 18, 2010

Roswell, GA – September 13, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Award-winning Realtor Cindy Lawson, who ranks #1 in her company of 1,200 agents for annual closings and who has specialized exclusively in the REO/foreclosure market for more than 20 years, wanted to do something to both educate and help metro Atlanta home buyers. After more than six months of preparation and research, the Atlanta Foreclosure Bus Tour concept was born. Unlike some area tours that have come and gone or that charge a fee, this weekly bus tour is free to the public and features numerous experts on hand to help with every question possible, from financing to home inspections to real estate contracts.

Lawson and her business partner, Les Crane, went out and purchased a bus, had it completely renovated inside to get rid of that crammed-in-a-school-bus feeling, and had the outside wrapped to reflect helping area home buyers or investors purchase the best foreclosure properties on the market. Each tour will have space for only 15 people as seating is more in line with a stretch limousine.

Tours will run three hours every Saturday and Sunday with approximately 10 houses included on each tour. Saturday sessions will feature a morning and afternoon tour, each with a different zip code focus. A reception lunch will be held in between the morning and afternoon tours at the Prudential Georgia Realty office at 4648 Woodstock Road on the East Cobb side of Roswell. On Sundays, foreclosure bus tours will run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a dessert reception afterward. For more details on the dates and zip codes covered, visit http://www.AtlantaForeclosureBus.com.

During the ride, guests will also receive a tutorial on foreclosures from Cindy Lawson and her Atlanta Metro REO Team. Lawson is a native Atlantan who has worked with major lenders like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac every day since 1989. Cindy and her team had 423 REO closings in 2009 alone and have facilitated thousands of such closings over the last two decades. At the brief receptions after the tours, representatives from three lenders—Met Life Home Loans, Wells Fargo and SunTrust—will be on hand as well as three home inspectors and an attorney from Shafritz and Dean law firm, all in an effort to answer questions and clarify the process of buying a metro Atlanta foreclosed property.
