Atlanta Home Stager Named Finalist for RESA Professional Stager of the Year – 2010
Atlanta, GA – March 15, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — RESA Names, Kathy Nielsen, Owner & Founder of Georgia Interior Solutions, As One of the Top 5 Finalist for Professional Stager of the Year, 2010.
The Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), the trade association for the home staging industry, announces their top 5 finalists for Professional Stager of the Year.
“What an absolute honor”, says Kathy Nielsen. Nielsen, recognized for her expertise in the home staging industry, has been professionally staging homes throughout the Atlanta market for almost five years. While her vast experience helps to set her apart from her competitors, it’s her attention to detail that leads to the biggest difference. “My objective, with each new home staging project, is to view the home from the eyes of the potential buyer. What may be an obvious feature to the homeowner, may not be highlighted to the degree it needs to be. By paying attention to every detail, big or small, we increase the odds of having the buyer fall in love with the home”;┬а adds Kathy.
Nielsen understands that it takes more than just making a home ‘look nice’. “The components in getting a home to sell more quickly boils down to three things; Price, Marketing and Visual Appeal. In this marketplace, it takes ALL three. Priced too high and you’ve increased the chances of having the home sit. Without proper marketing, you reduce the number of potential buyers who will see the home. Lack visual appeal? You leave on the table that ever-so-important emotional connection. The market conditions have posed some huge challenges for sellers. However, with careful consideration of all three, you’re going to increase the changes of selling more quickly. ” adds Nielsen.┬а This formula is one that she explains to all her clients.
In addition to her work within the Atlanta market, Nielsen plays a major role in shaping the home staging industry. As the RESA Regional Vice President for the Southeast Region, she actively participates in defining policy and procedure that impact home stagers across North America. “It’s the perfect opportunity.”; describes Nielsen. “With the home staging industry still being relatively new, I viewed this role as a means in which to assist not only home stagers across North America but homeowners as well.” Nielsen was Named RESA RVP of the Year 2009, and RESA’s National Board Member of the Year for 2010,
